Auto Painting

Collision repair and refinishing in Portland, Oregon. Family-owned since 1968.

Professional auto painting on a white car in a spray booth.

After a collision, your paint should look the way it did before. We match your factory color with precision software, then apply every layer in a controlled sequence—prep, primer, color, clear coat. The result is even, consistent, and built to last. Our paint shop works on collision-damaged vehicles only. No full repaints. No color changes. No airbrushing. We paint only what was damaged and blend the color into the surrounding panels, so the repair isn't noticeable.

The process

Every repair follows the same sequence. Each layer has a purpose.

1 Prepare

We sand the repaired area so the primer has a clean surface to bond to.

2 Prime

Primer fills small imperfections.

Our UV-cured primer sets in under five minutes.

3 Paint

Color goes on in thin, even coats—one to three, depending on the shade.

4 Clear

Clear coat adds gloss and protects against sun, weather, and scratches. Then we bake the finish to cure it.

Questions

Do you offer full repaints or color changes?

No. We repaint collision-damaged vehicles only.

Can you repaint just one bumper, door, or panel?

Yes. We paint only the damaged areas and blend the color into surrounding panels.

How do you match my car's paint color?

Color-matching software identifies the correct paint. We apply it in even coats so the repair blends with the rest of the car.

What does the process involve?

Prep, sand, mask, primer, color coats, clear coat. Then we bake the finish to cure it before returning your vehicle.

Why clear coat?

It provides gloss and protects the paint underneath from UV rays.

How many coats will my car need?

It depends on the color. Most repairs take one to three coats.

How long does primer take to dry?

Under five minutes with UV light—a special lamp or natural sunlight.
